Marcus Dabek, teacher at Cavendish School of English

Marcus Dabek is one of our English teachers at Cavendish School of English in Bournemouth, UK. He is very kind and dedicated to his job, and students always have nice words to say about him. Let’s ask Marcus some questions to get to know him a little bit better!

What is in your opinion the best thing about teaching?

I teach English because it enables me to teach students from many different cultural backgrounds which provides an excellent classroom experience. Additionally, I greatly enjoy teaching the Cambridge examinations – notably FCE and CAE – because these exams give students the chance to really challenge themselves and prove they can do the best English exams in the world.

Did you always want to be a teacher?

No, I didn’t. When I was younger I wanted to be a football player.

Tell us three famous people (dead or alive) you would invite to a dinner party.

That’s a difficult one, but I would have to go for Nelson Mandela, Lionel Messi and Rihanna.

If you could be an animal you would be a… Jaguar – what an animal!
