Centre Manager

Cavendish School of English are looking to recruit motivated and organised Centre Managers to run our residential junior language school programmes during summer 2018.

You will be based at one of our three UK summer centres, based in preparatory schools and universities close to Hatfield, Ardingly and Oxford. You will work closely with members of our Bournemouth-based senior management team and an on-site Director of Studies to oversee residential EFL teachers and activity leaders. Together with your team, you will deliver a truly memorable experience to students from around the world!

Our students travel to England from their home countries and expect the best quality lessons, excursions and activities. All students at our summer centres are juniors (aged under 18) who study for approximately two weeks on average. As Centre Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the centre, and ensure that all lessons and activities run according to plan. The successful candidate will make sure our students are well looked after throughout all aspects of their course – from academic, to social, to residential. It is vital that you have an approachable and friendly attitude to provide our students with only the best customer service and guarantee that they fully enjoy their study trip.

It is also important to keep a cool head under pressure, and have the ability to solve problems quickly and independently. The Centre Manager will be the first port of call for any issues that arise, so it is important to be able to prioritise and delegate tasks as required.

The role is ideal for a candidate with prior management experience, and it would also be beneficial to have undertaken a previous residential position. In return, you will receive a generous and competitive salary, along with a contract completion bonus.
